Did you know that debit cards have a limit on their daily transactions? While they provide a convenient way to access funds in your accounts, they might not be the best solution if you have a large purchase or need to make a lot of transactions in one day. Let us help you find a credit card that would be beneficial to have available if you need it.

Georgia Heritage Bank wants to be sure you know that our ATMs accept deposits -- 24 hours a day! It is super easy. Just swipe your debit card and select "deposit." You will then be able to insert your signed, endorsed checks one at a time. You don't have to do the math or even fill out a deposit form! The machine will make an image of the check and prepare a deposit for you. PLEASE NOTE: If you have received a new Debit Card that has a chip, you will not be able to utlize the deposit feature on the ATM. However, we are working to resolve this issue.

How can I open a new account?

We would love to have you as a part of the Georgia Heritage Bank family. Please stop by either of our branch locations to open your account at your convenience.

What identification do I need to open an account?

You will need valid government issued identification.

How do I close my account?

To close your account, you will need to stop by one of our two locations.

How do I reconcile my account?

We have a checkbook balancer tool on our website that might be helpful to you when reconciling your checking account. Or, if you prefer, you can print out our Checkbook Balancing / Reconciliation Form and follow the instruction on it to balance your account.

What are your Money Market & CD rates?

Rates are always changing. Please feel free to call us and we will be happy to quote you the current rates and terms available. You can reach a customer service representative at 770-445-8888.

Do you have products for seniors?

We have “senior options” for our checking accounts. Our senior products offer reduced fees and additional incentives like two free boxes of checks per year. For more information on these products, please ask a customer service representative. You can speak with one at any time at our bank locations or feel free to call 770-445-8888.

What ATMs can I use?

Each of our branch locations has an ATM available near the drive-thru windows. In addition, Georgia Heritage Bank has a partnership with PRESTO ATM machines.

Can I make deposits at the ATM?

The ATMs located at our Georgia Heritage Bank branches accept deposits. This means you are able to deposit into our system outside of banking hours. You do not need to fill out deposit slips or do any math! Just select the “Deposit” option once you insert your debit card and then you will be able to follow the on-screen prompts to insert and scan each check or insert cash.

Help! I was locked out of Internet Banking. What should I do?

As a security measure, your account will become locked after several incorrect password attempts. In order to have your account unlocked, you will need to contact a customer service representative at 770-445-8888.

How can I reset my online banking password?

We understand that there are times you might not remember your online password or wish to change it. If you do not recall your password, you can select the “Forgot Password” option underneath the Internet Banking Login section of our website. You will be directed to a page where you can enter your Online Banking ID and email address. In addition, you will be required to post an email subject line. This will help you confirm that the reset email you receive is from Georgia Heritage Bank.

If you would like to change your password and you know your current password, simply log in to online banking, select the “Settings” tab and then select the “Personal” tab on the top navigation. Now simply scroll down until you see the “Modify Login Information” section and follow the prompts.

Why do I have to reset my password so often?

At Georgia Heritage Bank, we take security very seriously. One of the ways you can protect your online banking account is to change your online password regularly. We realize this is not the most convenient action, but it is for your protection.

How can I learn more about Internet Banking?

On our homepage underneath the Online Banking Log-In, please select “Online Banking Help.” This will take you to a screen where you will have an option to take a guided tour of our online bill pay feature or you can take the interactive demonstration that allows you to explore the features all on your own.

How do I enroll in Internet Banking?

If you would like to enroll in online banking, please visit our website at www.georgiaheritagebank.com. In the top left corner, you will see a login section for Internet Banking. Please select the “Register” link. This will direct you to the online banking platform. Here you will be asked to provide information such as your account number, last four digits of your social security number and date of birth.  Once you complete all of the required information, you will be contacted by a bank representative to complete your enrollment. Once you are good to go, you will receive an email telling you that you are ready to bank online!

How do I order a personalized debit card?

Personal debit cards are a great way to make your debit card as unique as you are! You are able to select a design already provided or upload a photograph of your choosing. Please note there is a cost of $20 to order a personalized card.  From our website, select the “Personal” tab and then click on the link for “Personalized Debit Card.” This will take you to all of the information you need to know from MyPic, the debit card provider that we utilize. Once you select “I Understand and Accept the Terms and Conditions,” you will be taken to a page that provides the guidelines for a personalized card. Simply select, “I Understand the Above Guidelines” and you will be taken to the design page where you will see the various card styles available. Click to select which card style you would like and you will be directed to the Shazam MyPic studio where you can upload your own photograph.

Why was my debit transaction declined?

Debit cards have daily limits for transactions and withdrawals. While they provide a convenient way to access funds in your account, debit cards might not be the best solution if you are making a large purchase or need to make a lot of transactions in one day. Georgia Heritage Bank does offer credit cards that will alleviate these concerns for you and we would be happy to provide you more information on this service.

What are the daily debit card limits for purchases and cash withdrawals?

There is a $750 daily limit for point of sale purchases. ATM cash withdrawals are limited to $300 per day.

Help! I cannot locate my debit card. What should I do?

If you cannot located your debit card, you need to cancel the card to prevent any fraudulent charges. You may contact us at the bank at 770-445-8888 during our regular business hours. Or if you misplace or lose your card on a holiday or weekend, please contact Shazam, our debit card partner at 1-800-383-8000. You current card will immediately become inactive. Please visit one of our locations to request a new card.

How can I reset my PIN?

When you received your debit card in the mail, a separate, unique Personal Identification Number (PIN) was mailed to you independently. However, we understand that sometimes you would prefer to set up your own PIN. To change or reset your PIN, please visit one of our locations and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.

Why can't I see my accounts on my mobile app, HeritageGO?

When an account is added to Internet Banking, it is not automatically added to your view on your HeritageGO app. You will need to login to Internet Banking and add the accounts you want available on your mobile app. Click here for an instruction sheet that will walk you through the process. 

What can I do with the HeritageGO app other than see my account balance?

While being able to see your account balances is certainly the main feature on the mobile app, HeritageGO can do many other things as well. You can transfer money within your accounts, pay your bills, and view your account statements. You can even pay an individual by sending a check, via email or directly into their account if you know their banking account information. If you need help with any of this functionality, please just contact a member of our customer service team.

Do you offer money orders?

We do offer money orders, official checks and travelers cheques for our customers.

Does Georgia Heritage Bank offer credit cards?

Yes! We offer both business and personal credit cards for our customers. Please let us know if this is a product you would be interested in learning more about. Applications for credit cards are available in the lobby of each of our locations, or a customer service representative will be happy to help you.

Can I take a picture of a check and have it deposited?

While we certainly recognize the convenience of this feature, it is not available at this time with Georgia Heritage Bank. However, it is a feature we are looking to offer in the future. Until then, we will just enjoy seeing your smiling face at our bank.

There is a fraudulent charge or error on my bank statement. What should I do?

If you ever notice any fraudulent charges or a discrepancy on your bank statement, please notify us imemdiately. You can reach a customer service representative during regular business hours at 770-445-8888,
